Breaking: March 17, 1:30 a.m. – Two prominent Spring Hill men have been arrested by Hernando County Sheriff’s office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for human trafficking.

East Lake Fire Rescue Lieutenant Matthew Christopher Doyle, 39, of 2237 Anchor Avenue, Spring Hill, Fl 34608, was arrested for human trafficking Thursday morning shortly before 10 a.m. by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Doyle is also a part-time registered nurse at Bayfront Health Brooksville.

Along with Doyle, Chefs of Napoli owner, 38-year old Luigi Barile of 3487 Misty View Drive in Spring Hill,  was arrested and is also in custody at the Hernando County Jail.

Doyle and Barile have been charged with Kidnapping, Human Trafficking, unlawful use of a two-way communications device and lewd and lascivious behavior on a victim between 12 and 16 years of age.

According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, several arrests have been made concluding a two-year long investigation.

Doyle and Barile are currently in custody at the Hernando County Jail. Both have bond amounts set at $650,000.00.

Hernando County Sheriff’s Office will be holding a press conference at 10:30am Friday morning. Sheriff Al Nienhuis, along with Attorney General Ashley Moody and Mark Brutnell with FDLE SAC/Tampa Region, will discuss the two-year long investigation into Human Trafficking that culminated this week with the arrest of several individuals.
