Pasco County FL – Brian E. Corley, Supervisor of Elections, has been notified by the Voter Participation Center (VPC) of their intent to once again target over 8,300 Pasco County voters with a voter registration mail campaign this month. Past mailings in 2008, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 used erroneous data which created confusion and anger among voters.
“Voters who receive these mailings mistakenly believe my office is mailing them this information,” said Brian Corley, Pasco County Supervisor of Elections’ Office. “The VPC assures us they have taken measures to improve their mailing lists, but in the past these mailings have aroused suspicion and further erosion of voter confidence.”
For the most accurate information, voters who receive these mailings can check their voter registration status at the Division of Elections website using this link: http://dos.myflorida.com/elections/for-voters/check-your-voter-status-and-polling-place/ or the Pasco County Supervisor of Elections’ office website: http://www.pascovotes.com/Voter-Registration/Am-I-Registered . Voters may also call 800-851-8754.
Voter registration is available on-line for all new registrants and for registration updates at: https://registertovoteflorida.gov/en/Registration/Index.
For questions or grievances regarding the mailing contact Jennifer Carrier of the Voter Participation Center at (202) 420-3034 or toll free at (877) 255-6750. To be removed from the VCP mailing list, email the code FL99999999 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
