According to their website, “The Florida Department of Health in Hernando County has identified a positive case of hepatitis A in a food service worker at Village Pizza Restaurant in Spring Hill, FL.”
It’s important to get vaccinated.
Hepatitis can be deadly. In 2016, the Center For Disease Control reported 6421 deaths from Hepatitis A, B and C.
Hepatitis A vaccination is recommended for anyone who ate or drank between June 4 and 5 from Village Pizza, which is located at 4070 Deltona Blvd. in Spring Hill.
The Health Department is offering the hepatitis A vaccine for free to those customers who may have been exposed on June 4 and 5.
The hepatitis A vaccine is being offered at the Spring Hill location of the Health Department to those patrons on June 18 and 19 from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.”
