Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to make an extra-large Splash! this school year as you bring freshwater education to your students! Grants are awarded at up to $3,000 per school. Public and charter school educators of grades K-12 are eligible to apply. Applications are due August 31.

Here are just a few of the awesome things you can do with a Splash! grant to support freshwater education:

  • Visit a local environmental education center
  • Create a water conserving garden with your students
  • Bring a water education program to your school
  • Purchase materials to support projects or labs in and out of the classroom 
  • Conduct a school wide awareness campaign on water resource issues

Trout Lake Nature Center will be hosting a Project WET Workshop July 29, 2019. Registration is available online at www.universe.com/wetjuly2019. Learn how to bring hands-on, STEM-friendly activities into your classroom, and register today! 

  • What: An exciting, interactive workshop all about water science! Open to formal and non-formal educators. Attendees will receive an official Project WET certification and a Project WET 2.0 Guide upon completion of the workshop. Activities are interdisciplinary and correlated to education standards.
