On Sunday, Pasco Sheriff’s deputies arrested Heather Revell, 35, for child neglect after a 1-year-old girl for whom she had care and custody of overdosed on fentanyl.
Responding paramedics from Pasco Fire-Rescue had to administer Narcan to the child. Revell was also arrested for possession of heroin, Xanax and drug paraphernalia.
According to the arrest report, Revell admitted to injecting heroin in her arm while she was in her bedroom Saturday evening while caring for the child, who was a few feet away from her at the time.
The next morning around 9:30 a.m., the child was unresponsive. Revell called 911 for help. When paramedics arrived on scene they determined the child was suffering from an overdose and administered Narcan. The child was taken to the hospital where she is currently under observation.
Revell was arrested. She admitted to detectives that she must have not cleaned up the residue and the child ingested the heroin.
Revell’s bond is set at $5000.
